I never had sync issues with AmpleNote and it also has some features from newer apps like Obsidian and Roam Research.If you want the widest compatibility, Evernote's the one to go for. I use neither GK or Evernote, I use AmpleNote, as it's, for me, a better Evernote with tasks and a calendar on the free plan. Recommended for - People who want to take more "meaningful" notes, can pay $8 for pro version, can have patience with possible problems they might face and won't get shaken by the mass exodus that happened the last few years/months. Lost lots of users, due to the rise of other hyped notes apps like Obsidian and Notion. They've been recently bought out by another company, so the chances of them surviving got higher, just don't know if the service will still be on the same price or if the free plan will get worse. They've been continuously improving the app, but people complain about sync problems a lot still. If you want task management and a calendar, you need to pay. Its pretty easy to capture info in Evernote as well. In Evernote, you can make more "understandable" notes by formatting them with headings, bolds, etc. Recommended for - People with no budget for notes apps, people who use the Google suite a lot, people who prefer extremely simple Note-taking and people who are really visual, as GK resembles mostly a bunch of "sticky notes". If you don't archive the notes, they will appear in front of you on the hundreds every time you open the app.Īnd as Google is Google, they also announced they would kill the app a couple of times already, but never done so, I'd still keep an eye out.
